How does it work?
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a collection of conditions of the intestinal system, of which Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are the two most recognised. IBD is known for it’s significant impact on quality of life (QoL) and high healthcare costs associated directly and indirectly with these conditions. Research has already shown that telemonitoring patietnts with IBD significantly reduces the number of hospital visits and admissions. Luscii offers a program for IBD where patients answer different questions derived from the IBD control, SIBDQ, HBI and / or SCCAI. This provides valuable insight into the status of the patient, if a flare up has occurred and makes it possible for the health care provider to asses which (virtual) follow-up is desired.
What is the aim of the program?
- The patient has the option of (virtual) contact if issues arise, which ensures timely intervention and prevents unnecessary hospital visits
- The patients gains more insight into the course of their condition
- Health care providers have better insight in the patients status and van ensure a timely intervention

I am more aware of how things are going now and whether there is a deterioration or not. They also ask how things are going, which makes me judge honestly about my complaints.
